Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
The Galaxy S22 Ultra doesn't feel like the S22 at all – in fact, it's more like a secret revival of Samsung's once-loved Note brand, with a different design from its S22 siblings and the inclusion of an S There is a built-in slot for storage. - Pen stylus The camera is one of the best on any phone, with a 108Mp main shooter backed up by ultra-wide and two telephoto lenses with different zoom levels - zoom performance is notably improved over previous models. The wide 6.8in LTPO AMOLED display offers both high WQHD+ resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and with the help of an S-pen stylus it comfortably complements the productivity of previous Note phones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3
Samsung's first few attempts at foldables were fun, but felt like a novelty. With the Galaxy Z Flip 3, the Korean tech company has clearly got it right. A redesigned design not only looks better, but also includes waterproofing and is more useful thanks to the larger cover display. The basic specs are solid throughout, with the Snapdragon 888, and the 12Mp main and ultrawide cameras are decent if not exceptional - though you might miss out on having a telephoto lens. The biggest drawback is the battery, with the Flip 3 only getting about a day of use. But if you can live with that, this is the first foldable that feels downright competitive for its price

Google Pixel 6 Pro
Pixel phones have always been about the camera, but the competition is quickly catching up - and the 6 Pro's camera, while exceptional, isn't currently our favourite. It's not lacking though, and the Pixel 5 benefits from a major upgrade – now packing a 48Mp main lens with ultrawide and periscopic telephoto, making it the most powerful Pixel camera yet. The big edge of the phone is Google's software. The 6 Pro runs the best version of Android, the clean simplicity of stock Android with all of Google's best Pixel-exclusive upgrades, now powered by the company's new in-house Tensor chip. You'll have to put up with slow charging (and buy your own charger to boot), and accept the fact that it's a big phone with a split design – you might like

Oppo Find X5 Pro
The Oppo Find X5 Pro is an exceptional phone by any measure. The 6.7in 10-bit 120Hz QHD+ panel is one of the best displays on any phone right now, and Oppo backs it up with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, a 5000mAh battery, and a top-notch camera with 50Mp sensors
on both. Is. Main and ultra-wide lenses.
You'll have to live without the periscopic zoom lens - the telephoto here is a modest 2x zoom - but the results from all three rear lenses are exceptional. The design is also unique, thanks to the camera module sloping seamlessly into the ceramic of the phone's body.
The Find X5 Pro is also hard to beat for pure performance, with all of the above plus a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. You just have to be prepared to pay the price, as it doesn't come cheap - although the regular Find X5 is a great option for a lot less.

Xiaomi 12
The Xiaomi 12 is a great performer thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, but it's also pocket-friendly thanks to a screen that's under 6.3in – small for an Android flagship these days. It's still a great display, with a 120Hz refresh rate on the AMOLED panel, so there's no compromise in quality. 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging are among the fastest, and the 50Mp main camera is also excellent - although we miss the telephoto lens you'll find on its larger Xiaomi 12 Pro sibling. We still don't love Xiaomi's MIUI version of Android, and the lack of IP rating holds it back a bit compared to rivals, but it's the only really small-screen Android flagship besides the regular Galaxy S22. And there is Well worth a look for that alone

Samsung Galaxy S22
Don't mistake the S22+ for the poor man's S22 Ultra – Samsung has used its Goldilocks model to strike a perfect balance of specs and features that come with few drawbacks. As a result, you get some of the best performance currently found in an Android phone, an all-glass design, and the latest Android 12 (dressed in Samsung's own One UI 4.1 at launch) years of software. With commitment to support. Battery life is a bit inconsistent, and some camera features will benefit from firmware improvements over time, but this is a great example of what we can expect from 2022 Android flagships
