ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9

We are currently using the ninth generation of Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Carbon, which makes me feel very old. And there's a reason why there have been nine of these. And with its most recent version, that is still the case. Other than a few minor adjustments, Lenovo's ThinkPad continues to deliver the exceptional performance we've come to expect.

The largest change to the ThinkPad from the X1 Carbon Gen 8 is the new 16:10 display, which is a feature that Lenovo has been incorporating into all of the X-series ThinkPads. Compared to the 16:9 Carbon Gen 8, it offers significantly more vertical screen real estate, so you'll need to scroll less and zoom out less when multitasking.
Apart from the aspect ratio, this device's screen is pretty good. With its 1920 x 1200 resolution and new technology, it should help cut down on exposure to blue light. Even though my unit was rated for 400 nits, which is a little dim for the category, the matte texture allowed me to work comfortably in bright indoor environments with very little glare. A good image with vibrant colors, excellent contrast, and crisp details was presented by the display. It's good that the screen covers 87 percent of Adobe RGB and 99 percent of the sRGB gamut (though not as good as what you'll see on something like an OLED panel).
In addition to this display, Lenovo offers an even brighter 500-nit FHD+ touchscreen option or a 400-nit model with an FHD+ touchscreen. Lenovo's Privacy Guard technology prevents prying eyes from viewing your screen from the sides. (The blue light filter is absent from this option.) Next is a UHD+ 500-nit non-touch screen that supports Dolby Vision and has a blue light filter built in. Unless brightness is a concern, I don't think most people need the UHD panel because the FHD+ one is good enough.

THE GOOD
16:10 screen
superior construction quality
strong audio
incredibly light and thin
THE WORSE
Very costly
Keyboard noise Dark screen
Touchpad is a little small.
